1.1: Code Compliance and Enforcement
Architecture 2030 Template Language & Guidance
Code compliance:
Achieve full compliance with both the state adopted energy efficiency and renewable energy standards (Appendix CC) by:
- offering training for design professionals, contractors, plan checkers, and field inspectors,
- requiring consistent compliance documentation to be submitted with each permit application, and
- verifying that adequate renewable energy is procured through a locally administered energy benchmarking and disclosure program
Code enforcement:
Monitor compliance by randomly selecting permit applications for a more thorough review of the plans and field verification after construction. [Field inspection is the only way to truly verify full compliance but this can’t be done for a couple of years after implementation of the RES.]
